Newtownards Rally Report. On arrival to Regents House Grammar School on Friday we were warmly greeted by the hosts for the weekend Harry and Jane and Mervyn and Maud. In the evening, we went over to the hall for a catch up and a game of table top bingo. There were a few happy winners but Jane won the top prize of £20 (nothing to do with her husband Harry calling out the cards). On Saturday morning some of the Ladies met up for a bit of knitting and crocheting, while others played a game or 2 of Rummikub. In the afternoon most people went up town and did a bit of shopping. Some got their photos taken with Paddington bear who was visiting Newtownards and some people met up and went for a bite to eat.
On Saturday evening Albert entertained us for a while with his piano skills and played some beautiful music for us all to enjoy and later Robbie H had us all on the dance floor with a great selection of tunes. Sunday morning Selma and team had tea, coffee and biscuits for all. Our chairman Sam thanked everyone for coming and explained the points system for attendance. He welcomed new members John, Debbie and Katie and Aurora and Roy to the club. Happy Birthday wishes given to David McFadden.Victor and Eleanor got a free weekend voucher for attendance.
