The venue was Blue Circle Club just outside Larne.
Thank you to our hosts David and Elena and Norman and Sally. Both first timers at hosting a rally but they did a grand job. We had 31 Motorhomes attending and three new Motorhomes owned by Debbie and William Tinsley. Stephen and Mary Glenn. Bob, Susanne and Pamela Warwick. Happy and safe travelling to you all.
Welcome to new member Mark McCall who arrived to check out the rally and got up to speed on things. Happy birthday to Joycelyn Stewart.
Weather was nice and dry and fresh. We had a busy Friday evening. Starting off with Bingo, followed by live music and dancing. Everyone looked like they enjoyed it. In the break sandwiches supplied by hosts, Norman and Sally, went done a treat. Much appreciated. Raffle prizes included memory sticks and SD cards supplied by hosts, David and Elena.
On Saturday morning some people headed either to Larne or Belfast on the train. The station only being a short walk away. Saturday evening, we had a FREE Barbecue cooked by our own Billy McBride and Harry Aston. Thank you, boys. (until the next time). Some people were able to eat out side.
Later in the evening we went to the Club’s lounge for a catch up. As there was a dance in the hall next door, some members joined in, and thoroughly enjoyed the craic of sequence dancing.
Coffee morning on Sunday saw Robert Watson and David Caskey being the lucky recipients of number plate draw. The chairman was delighted to remind them that this meant a FREE night. We had a surprise visitor who flew in for the weekend from Portugal. Our own Health and Safety officer Andy Clarke. The Chairman wondered in light of the recent possible carbon monoxide poisoning of Gene Hackman and his family was this to ensure our members had tested their safety devices.
A reminder was given, that the North West 200 rally, was now open for bookings. See web page for details. Safe home everyone until our next rally in Omagh. Eleanor and Victor McFadden.
