45 vans arrived at Beechlawn School in Royal Hillsborough to be warmly greeted by our weekend hosts John and Joyce McCune, who were assisted by Victor and Eleanor McFadden.
We had a strong turnout for Bingo on Friday night. Victor our amusing ‘Caller’ for the evening certainly made Casey’s night, when the lucky lady won 2 out of the 6 games.
Following Bingo, DJ Roy played music that had us all up on the dance floor.Saturday morning brought much welcomed sunshine to the craft class and Men’s Meet, while some watched rugby and others enjoyed exploring Royal Hillsborough.
Robbie Pearson’s music had us all up dancing again on Saturday night.
After the Sunday coffee morning, David, our Chairman, welcomed everyone and thanked our weekend hosts for a well organised weekend. Congratulations were given to Frank and Frances on their new van. George Gorman was welcomed to his first rally and birthday wishes were given to Tammy Brady.
The Chairman informed the members that the committee had agreed to reintroduce the reward point system for attendance. This will be back dated to January 1st, 2024.
The number plate draw was won by Norman McKee and Rubina Watson.
John McCune thanked members for the donations of items towards the Raffle Prize Draw and he extended his thanks to co-hosts, Victor and Eleanor.
The Chairman announced that £15 had been raised through book sales and this was for the Chairman’s Charity.
Our next rally will be a new venture to Newry High School from the 15th to 17th of March.
