Armagh report.

20 vans attended the meet at Armagh for the towns Georgan festival, stewarded by Noleen and Alan Fluke along with Robert and Joy and Lindsay Colter.

The walk into town was only 10 minutes (for some!) so all of the events where easily reached.

The town looked beautifully festive as all areas had decorations and Christmas lights. For those who wanted to participate, there were several Georgian themed tours, a wonderful animated lightshow at the Market House on Friday and Saturday evenings and horse and carriage rides although all pre- booking was necessary for many of these as they were incredibly popular. Saturday was a beautiful bright day and most people visited the town at some point to eat, drink and visit the shops and festival stalls. There was musical entertainment through the day with various bands, choirs and groups performing Christmas carols and even a pipe band.

Russell Street was a popular place as various food stalls were located there and members had a great choice of food from burgers and hotdogs to Crepes and Pizza.

On Saturday evening the bar takings of the Royal British legion were greatly enhanced by the presence of the NI group members and some heads and throats may have been a bit sore next morning!

The rainy start to Sunday morning didn’t dampen the spirits as we gathered for tea, coffee and farewells.

The winners of the Armagh themed quiz were William and Adeline Mc Clenagh and the number plate draw winner was Richard Ellis.

Great town, great festival, great company and great craic.

Come and join us at Larne High school 8th- 10th December where a warm welcome is assured.
